MEET THE 2000 CAPTAINS:
  • Pat Martha (Wallingford, CT) is in his fourth year as a varsity runner for the Wild Boars. Currently the school record holder on the Choate course, Pat is a three-time All-Founders League and two-time All-New England honoree. Among his accomplishments have been the individual title in the League cross country championship as well as first place finishes in the New England track & field championships in the 1500 meter and (twice) in the 3000 meter events. Pat has won the form athletic award each of his first three years at Choate and will serve as track & field captain this spring.

  • Charlie Sussman (Southport, CT) joined the cross country team in his fourth form year at the school and quickly distinguished himself as a varsity-level competitor. In 1998, he was an integral part of the Choate junior varsity efforts which earned perfect scores of "15" in both the League and New England championship meets. Last fall, Charlie was named to the All-Founders League Team in recognition of his excellent 12th-place finish in the varsity race at the state meet. Charlie is also a Peer Counselor at the school and a captain of the boys' varsity lacrosse team in the spring.
