I am about to head to Kennedy Airport for a night flight to Paris, where I will be spending the weekend enjoying some tennis at the French Open. Lest it sound like I usually do this sort of thing, I am treating this as a special one-off: cashing in some mileage points to do something I've wanted to do for years-- a "surgical strike" of a getaway.
